DERMAPLANING is a method of exfoliation where the dead surface skin cells are removed along with vellus hair (also known as "peach fuzz"). The skin is left with a more radiant youthful complexion. Make-up and skin products will go on a lot smoother. Dermaplaning is a great skin rejuvenation treatment, which can also be combined with microdermabrasion and peels.
Does Dermaplaning make your hair grow back darker and thicker?
Dermaplaning is different from shaving, it is an exfoliation treatment. Using a razor on your face is completely different then using a scalpel blade. If you were to shave your face every day you could cause a problem, however dermaplaning removes lanugo hair, therefore it should not aggravate the hair or make the hair coarser. Most clients that come in for dermaplaning are fair skin and light hair. I would not recommend this treatment on coarser darker facial hair. Waxing, laser or electrolysis would be recommended.
